On April 8, 2015 Conatus Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: CNAT), a biotechnology company focused on the development and commercialization of novel medicines to treat liver disease, closed an underwritten public offering of its common stock. Conatus sold an aggregate of 4,025,000 shares of its common stock, which included the full exercise of the over-allotment option. The shares were sold at the public offering price of $5.75 per share, bringing the aggregate gross proceeds from the offering to approximately $23.1 million.

 

Conatus intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to fund clinical development of emricasan, including preparation for registration trials, and for working capital and other general corporate purposes.

 

ROTH Capital Partners acted as joint book-running manager for the offering.
